Well it’s day one and we haven’t really started as planned. Today according to our planner we were supposed to be sowing wild flower seeds, but unfortunately we haven’t quite got round to tidying up the spring bulbs in the border yet.
But, we weren’t going to fail the challenge on day 1 so we changed the schedule a bit and decided to plant some herbs in this fabulous herb garden Mr TH made a couple of weeks ago out of a pallet and some rubble sacks to line the troughs.
We have chosen to plant, Moroccan and chocolate mint, French tarragon, coriander, thyme, rosemary, curly parsley, oregano and wild rocket.
We also replanted some chives we have had growing in a planter for the last 4 years. They had beautiful purple flowers on at the moment which look beautiful against the Willow Green paint. They are also very tasty as Mt TH used them in a fish pie for dinner tonight!
